Minor procedures can often be done at home where your pet will be much more relaxed. Listed is an overview of some of the things we cover however please ask if us if the service you require is not listed.
Wound care
Stapling and/or suturing of a minor wound using local anaesthetic (where necessary), clipping, cleaning, dressing and bandaging.
Abnormal lumps and bumps
Fine needle aspirations of lumps and removal of small skin tags.
Eyes
Detailed eye examinations if your pet has an eye infection or existing problems.
Skin investigations
Skin scrapes, biopsies, swabs and tape strip samples.
Ears
Detailed examinations and cleaning if your pet shows signs of disease
Blood sampling
Allowing us to look for any signs of disease within the bloodstream, establish organ functionality, monitoring ongoing conditions and ensuring any long term medications aren't having a negative effect on your pet's health.
Blood pressure
Measuring your pet's resting blood pressure at home is actually the best place to perform the procedure as they are usually more relaxed. Doing so helps us to monitor chronic conditions such as kidney disease or heart disease.
Claw clipping
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy - we're well practiced in the art of 'ani-pedis'!
Anal glands
Again, another procedure that in most cases can be over and done with very quickly. This gives our vets an insight into your pets gut health.
