Pet health checks are one of the most useful diagnostic tools in a vets arsenal.
Being at home often gives us a more accurate and natural analysis of your pets overall health and wellbeing. If your pet has a particular problem your vet will focus their examination on highlighted areas as required.
For clients bringing their pets into the clinic we’ve thoughtfully designed our clinic with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. We hope to help pets and their owners feel more at ease during visits.
A typical health check includes:
Targeted questions aimed at obtaining clinical history and any on going medical symptoms
Behavioural observations wherever your pet is comfortable (we've vaccinated inside wardrobes before!) giving an insight to potential pressure/pain points
Physical examinations including weight measurements
Coat assessment checking for signs of parasites, wounds, condition of fur and skin, lumps and bumps.
Eye and ear assessment to check for signs of infection.
Brief dental check-up
Palpation of lymph nodes
Check of heart and lung sounds
Examination of the abdomen to check for signs of pain or organ enlargement
