Who are we?

We are a privately owned veterinary clinic dedicated to providing compassionate care through both in-clinic consultations and home visits. As a small, woman-powered practice, we take pride in offering personalised attention to each pet and their owner. We are committed to promoting fear-free approaches to veterinary care, ensuring your pet’s comfort and reducing stress during their visit. Your pet’s health and wellbeing are our top priorities, and we strive to create a caring, supportive environment for both pets and their families.

Meet the team...

Jennifer Spiers

Veterinary Surgeon BVMS MRCVS, practice owner.

If you've had an appointment with us, then you've probably met her at least once! Jen started the practice back in 2020, with nothing but herself and a van! Jen lives and breathes her love for animals, especially Clydesdales, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and Maine Coons, with a whole bunch of them happily residing at her home.
Known for her dedication to her patients, Jen also has a unique way of unwinding—she takes her tea with milk, but always skips the sugar, joking that she's already sweet enough. When she's not caring for animals, she enjoys dancing and immersing herself in music, and you'll often find her out in the fields, spending quality time with her beloved horses.

Amy Greenan

Depute Practice Manager and Animal Care Assistant.

Having a degree in zoology, her true passion lies in exotic animals, and she has a menagerie of rescued exotic animals at home, including rabbits, a skunk, pygmy squirrels, snakes, and many more.
When she's not at work, Amy enjoys sharing her love for animals by working at events and teaching children all about them. And if you ever need to find her, just follow the trail of empty Diet Irn Bru cans – it's a surefire way to locate her.

Janette Young

Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Jan became a part of our team in 2023 and quickly made herself indispensable. When she’s not busy caring for animals, Jan enjoys the simple pleasures of life like sleeping and immersing herself in audiobooks. She also hits the gym regularly, enjoys catching the latest movies at the cinema, and cherishes time spent with her family.
At home, Jan is ruled by her hairless cat, Peanut, whose lavish lifestyle she jokingly claims is the real reason she continues to work so hard! Her dedication to both her job and her beloved pet makes her a valued member of the practice

Claire Henson

Veterinary Surgeon, BVMS MRCVS.

Claire originally came to us to operate on one of jen’s dogs in 2023, however she’s never left! She works a Wednesday only, you won't find her in the consult room; instead, she's in the operating theatre—she's an absolute whizz, and we guarantee that Claire can handle any challenge!
Outside of work, Claire is passionate about caring for her animals on the smallholding, including horses, goats, and chickens. She also loves participating in cavalier shows, where she showcases her dogs. Additionally, Claire and her husband, Jed, enjoy the tranquility of maintaining several fish tanks, including a marine setup and several tropical ones. Never one to sit still, Claire also enjoys DIY projects and usually has at least one on the go, if not more!

Nicole McPhee

Receptionist.

Nicole is one of our amazing receptionists who joined us last July! You won’t see her around the practice just now, as she’s at home resting and eagerly awaiting the arrival of baby Brown—how exciting!
Outside of work, Nicole loves spending time with her family, going for walks with her dogs, and indulging in a bit of shopping. She's also a pro at beating all the guys at a game of pool!
We’re all wishing her the best and can’t wait to meet the newest member of her family

Eilidh Forbes

Veterinary Surgeron, BVMS MRCVS.

Eilidh joined us at the end of last year and has been invaluable! No matter when you ask her, I guarantee she’ll always have a pen in her pocket!
When she’s not working, she loves walking her dog Luka, who looks like a fox—maybe purposefully, as she has a love for foxes! You may notice her fox necklace when she’s caring for your pets! She enjoys playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, and loves a tea

Claire Macdonald

Receptionist.

Claire is one of our receptionists who joined our team earlier in the year. With a huge passion for animal care, she's amazing at her job and the real reason we have an endless supply of pet treats. You'll always be greeted with a smile and a handful of biscuits when Claire is around.
On her days off, she enjoys taking her dog Ian for a walk (yes, Ian is her dog, not her uncle! ), playing video games like phasmophobia, and indulging in photography. You'll usually catch her with a relentless energy drink in hand.
